Background
Deva Racing is excited to offer shares for sale in the consistent four-year-old Sioux Nation filly Forever Proud, a proven winner who has joined the upwardly mobile Newmarket yard of trainer James Owen.
Form
Out of the useful four-time winner Marsh Pride, she was unplaced in two outings as a two-year-old but displayed immediate promise the following year. She finished third in a 1m Newcastle maiden on her first start at three and earned an opening handicap rating of 69 shortly afterwards.
That mark had tumbled to just 47 by the time that Forever Proud opened her account in a 1m2f classified contest at Lingfield in January of this year, and she was only rated 48 when winning a class 6 handicap over the same course and distance in May. She is quickly turning into something of a course specialist at the Surrey venue.
A winner or placed in five of her 10 starts this term, there are plenty of strands of form that suggest Forever Proud is capable of progressing her handicap rating to a significantly higher level.
She was third to the subsequently Listed-placed Elim in her maiden at Newcastle, and filled the same position behind her now-stablemate and prolific subsequent winner Destinado at Lingfield in January. Furthermore, she has had four future winners in behind in the two races that she has won this season, and was runner-up to the subsequent winner Villalobos at Lingfield in July.
