Mohaather ex Tamadhor

This tremendous May-born yearling colt by Mohaather is set to go into training with James Owen in Newmarket.
He is out of the dual Irish 7f winner and twice Listed-placed Arcano mare Tamadhor, whose now six-year-old son Tawaazon (by Invincible Spirit) has won eight times from 5-7f and was rated above 90 at the peak of his powers.
Tamadhor is out of the winning Indian Ridge mare Hedaaya, who is a half-sister to the Gr.2 Cherry Hinton Stakes (now known as the Duchess of Cambridge Stakes) winner and successful broodmare Memory and the Gr.3 Tyros Stakes winner Remember Alexander.
It is also worth pointing out that Arcano is the accomplished damsire of Supremacy, Dragon Symbol, River Tiber, and plenty more.
A compelling distaff side of the pedigree is bolstered by the burgeoning reputation of the covering sire, Mohaather.
Trained by Marcus Tregoning for Hamdan Al Maktoum, Mohaather was an impressive winner of the Gr.3 Horris Hill Stakes on his final outing as a two-year-old. He won the Gr.3 Greenham Stakes during an injury-interrupted campaign at three, then delivered handsomely on his early promise with brilliant wins in the Gr.2 Summer Mile and Gr.1 Sussex Stakes as an older horse.
Joining the Shadwell stallion roster for the 2021 breeding season, Mohaather’s first-crop has appeared on racecourses this year, and the results have been immensely promising.
He has 11 individual winners on the board at the time of writing. That is a decent statistic on its own, but bear in mind that those winners include the Gr.3 Molecomb Stakes victor Big Mojo and the Listed Rose Bowl Stakes winner Yah Mo Be There. Furthermore, Mojave River won a valuable sales race in France on her racecourse debut, while Serving With Style is unbeaten in two starts and entered in the Gr.2 Rockfel Stakes.
These are just some of the promising youngsters to have represented Mohaather this term, and there is every reason to believe that his offspring will develop in his image and improve with age.
This yearling could also scarcely be heading to a more upwardly mobile trainer. In less than two years with a licence, James Owen has developed a reputation as a shrewd and skilled operator. He has trained around 50 winners over jumps so far at an astonishing strike-rate, headlined by a Gr.2 win for Burdett Road, and his maiden flat campaign has already resulted in 34 winners.
Previously a five-time Champion Arabian trainer and pre-trainer of the likes of Gr.1 Derby winner Desert Crown, we will be hearing plenty more about the Master of Green Ridge Stables going forward.
There are so many reasons to believe that this colt can have a bright future; please get in touch to find out more.
