Emma-Jane Brown
racing manager
Originally from North West London, horses have never featured in my family, yet somewhere in my childhood I fell in love with them… by the time I was 8yrs old I’d pestered my Dad enough to buy a completely unsuitable pony, and the rest is history!
I bought my first horse with my student grant and won numerous competitions and National Championships. I still have him today, happily retired at 35yrs old.
Moving to Yorkshire I discovered racing and became a work rider for the late NH trainer Malcolm Jefferson, and in the summer moved across to flat trainer Richard Farhey. I love my Thoroughbreds and have taken many to successfully re-train as dressage and event horses, again winning some national titles along the way.
Currently I have Lord in Red, formerly trained by Christian Williams who is proving to be a very willing partner, already placing in National Championships in his first 3 years of re-training. I enjoy working for Deva Racing and attending race meetings with their lovely owners.
